Kevin Noell presented the “Brownfield Technical Assistance Training” workshop in Glendale for California municipalities. The workshop educated participants on the available California state programs that provide liability relief, technical assistance and financial incentives; discussed the development process; showed how brownfield properties are financed; and trained representatives from local units of government on how to market their brownfield properties so they can attract more investment and developer interest. Kevin Noell was selected as the Western Region trainer by the National Brownfield Association. The National Brownfield Association is providing its third year of technical assistance training for municipalities with the United States Environmental Protection Agency grant monies.
